Hello and welcome to Modern World Records.

We are a mail order only music site specialising in:

  • Australian and New Zealand artists
  • mod
  • 60s retro
  • powerpop
  • punk new wave indie
  • 60s beat freakbeat mod psych
  • alternative rock
  • hard rock releases

All items are either new or second hand collectables. Items can be found by searching either on the artist's or band's name, or genre.

Also, Aussie and New Zealand artists are classifed according to their country of origin eg. AC/DC can be found under the genre Australian New Zealand, not Heavy rock metal.

Obviously some bands are hard to categorize eg. U2 - which can be found under the genre Alternative rock 90s to present.

All prices are in Australian dollars.

Where there are two gradings listed, covers are graded first. If there is only one grading this grading is for the record only as it is unlikely to have been released with a picture sleeve. See table below for explanation of gradings.

Your order should be placed via email. When I receive your order I will email you with the total cost of the order (including postage and handling) and, if you elect to pay by MasterCard or Visa, information on how to send through your credit card details. We believe the best security measure is not to permanently store your credit card information on our system.
